1525 Society
The 1525 Society was launched in 2002 to recognise those Sedberghians and Friends who wish to help with the work of the Foundation by leaving a gift in their will, thus allowing them to support the School more generously than their present circumstances allow.
The contribution of the 1525 Society to the development of the School has grown quickly along with its membership. Although its role is primarily to support the long term financial security and development of the School, the vibrant nature of the membership has ensure that the Society is becoming increasingly influential in short and medium term projects.
The 1525 Society has grown into an active cohort of over 200 members, some of whom are eminent and highly respected OS with Lord Bingham of Cornhill acting as the current President. The Society now ranks amongst the largest of its kind of any independent School in the UK and brings with it many membership benefits including the opportunity to attend the President's lunches twice a year.
Any OS or Friend indicating that they intend to leave a gift to the School in their will is automatically awarded membership of the 1525 Society. To assist them in this process, a will guide is available on request. Please follow the link below, email foundation@sedberghschool.org or call 015396 22218.
